January 28, 2024 at 9:58 pmFirst of all, they call themselves “May’s Jewelry” in Sumter Mall. Directly across from the respectable “Kay’s Jewelry”. That being said, I myself have a distinct familiarity of, as well as practice the art of a true bench jeweler and know noble metals more than the average “Joe”. I cannot stand peeps that take advantage of the nieve. A friend told me of an interaction with them that infuriated me. To be fair, I made my own introductions. Here goes… on a Sunday, with most gold buyers in the vicinity closed:; I called the store to specifically ask if they would buy gold and could guarantee 80% of spot (daily value of gold ) I was told “yes”. I brought to them a plain gold 10k band of 2.78grams. They offered $20. Needless to say I recorded the entire interrelation and plan to make sure the world knows how they are. I never planned to sell it anyway, just prove a point. They are thieves. Scammers.
